A bright, playful and completely one-of-a-kind Cwtch Cath reworked smock dress, made from an oversized pink Mean Girls “On Wednesdays We Wear Pink” sweatshirt and a full gathered patchwork skirt. 💕✨
I’ve paired the sweatshirt with a mixture of colourful fabrics including pink gingham, soft florals, cats tangled in colourful yarn, rainbow print and tiny cats on pink. The different panels give the skirt a full, floaty shape and that deliberately mismatched, handmade look I love.
And most importantly… it has pockets! 🙌💗
The original sweatshirt is labelled an oversized Large, so the finished dress is designed to have a relaxed, baggy smock fit rather than being fitted at the waist.
I’d estimate the fit at around UK 12–16, depending on your body shape and how oversized you like your clothes. On the smaller end it will have a much looser, oversized look; towards the upper end it will sit a little closer while still having plenty of fullness through the skirt.

As with all my handmade and reworked clothing, there may be little quirks in the stitching, gathers and fabric placement that you wouldn’t find on something factory-produced. That’s part of its handmade character and means there genuinely isn’t another one exactly the same. 🧵🐾
