Cwtch Cath currently ships to UK addresses only.
Standard shipping is £5.70 for the first item, and any additional items in the same order are added with no extra postage charge.
So whether you order one item or several together, your standard shipping charge will normally remain £5.70.
This flat rate helps cover the different sizes of orders I send, from smaller letter-sized packages through to parcels. The Royal Mail service used may vary depending on the size, weight and value of your order.
Where suitable, parcels are sent using a tracked Royal Mail service without requiring a signature. Smaller items may occasionally be sent using an appropriate First Class service.
Tracking information will be provided where available.
🗓️ Dispatch Days
Most Cwtch Cath stock is now kept at my physical shop, so my usual postal days are:
Wednesday & Friday
Orders placed after I have left the shop may therefore wait until my next postal day.
Cwtch Cath is a very small business run by one person alongside other work and commitments, so these are usual dispatch days rather than guaranteed dispatch dates.
If you need an order particularly quickly, please contact me before ordering. I’m always happy to see what I can do, but expedited dispatch cannot be guaranteed unless we have agreed it beforehand.
🧵 Handmade & Made-to-Order Products
Cwtch Cath sells a mixture of:
- handmade Cwtch Cath products
- carefully selected wholesale products
- curated and secondhand finds
Not every product is handmade.
If your order contains a handmade, made-to-order or pre-order item, dispatch may take a little longer while that item is prepared or completed.
Any specific turnaround time will be stated on the individual product listing where possible.
If an order contains both ready-to-ship and handmade/pre-order items, the order will normally be sent together once everything is ready.
If you would prefer the ready-made items separately, please contact me before ordering, as additional postage may be required.
🎃 Pre-Orders
Some seasonal products, particularly Halloween and Christmas items, may be offered as pre-orders.
The expected dispatch period will be included in the product description.
By purchasing a pre-order item, you are agreeing to the longer dispatch timeframe shown on that listing.
💌 Combined Orders
Where possible, everything in your order will be packed and posted together.
Shipping is £5.70 for the first item and £0 for each additional item in the same order.
Separate orders placed at different times are not automatically treated as one order. If you place two orders close together, contact me and I will combine them where possible, but I cannot guarantee this if one has already been packed or dispatched.
⏱️ Dispatch Time vs Delivery Time
Please remember that dispatch time and delivery time are different.
Dispatch time is how long it takes Cwtch Cath to prepare and hand your parcel to Royal Mail.
Delivery time begins after Royal Mail has received the parcel.
Royal Mail First Class and Tracked 24 services generally have next-working-day delivery aims, but these are aims rather than guarantees and can vary by destination and during busy periods.
📮 Delays & Missing Parcels
Occasional postal delays can happen, particularly around Christmas, bank holidays, severe weather or other periods of disruption.
If your order appears to be delayed, please contact me with your name and order number.
If tracking shows a parcel as delivered but you cannot locate it, please check:
- your nominated safe place
- with other members of your household
- with neighbours
- any Royal Mail delivery information
Then contact me and I can help investigate.
Please do not worry that you will simply be left out of pocket if Royal Mail loses a parcel. UK consumer purchases generally remain the seller's responsibility until the goods reach the customer, so I will work with Royal Mail and you to resolve genuinely lost or damaged orders.
🏡 Delivery Addresses
Please check your full name, address and postcode carefully before completing checkout.
If you notice an error, contact me as soon as possible.
I can usually change an address if the order has not yet been packed or dispatched, but I cannot guarantee changes once processing has begun.
If a parcel is returned to me because an incomplete or incorrect address was supplied, I will contact you to arrange redelivery. Additional postage may be required before it can be resent.
📦 Damaged Orders
I pack orders carefully, but if something arrives damaged, please contact me as soon as possible with:
your order number + photographs of the item + photographs of the packaging
Ideally, please send these within 48 hours of delivery, as photographs make it much easier for me to investigate damage with Royal Mail.
